Berlin based Darkjazz band Dictaphone have been making sublime music for a decade now. Over the years this band has achieved cult status with such luminary fans as Nils Frahm who recently included the song peaks from their Nacht Ep in his late night tales compilation. Using deep cuts from their vinyl collection they have put together a journey of 80’s experimental ambient and electronics from their original home of Brussels. This year saw their entire back catalogue (long out of print) re-issued by Denovali and this month will see a momentous ‘10 years of Dictaphone’ showcase performance at the legendary Saal 1 in the Funkhouse, Berlin.
