Sebastian Galante (aka. Seph) is a fantastic and relatively fresh South American producer and established live act hailing from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Combining an interesting and engaging medley of minimal sound design and dance floor funk, Galante is poised on the cutting edge of sound design and the techno scene in general. Fresh from his new release on Dumb Unit and a hectic globe hopping schedule, FWD is proud to present an exclusive interview and live set from Seph.

GummiHz the is moniker of one Alexander Tsotsos, a decisively Greek export recently transplanted to Berlin and one of the fresh faces making waves in the EDM production and DJing scene. Tsotsos is best known for his dedicated releases on Mobilee in addition to his ever clever and functional, heavily charted dance tunes.

Dan Curtin has been at it for… ummm… let's just say: a while. This veteran producer has over 70 singles and 9 full length albums to his name at this time with a trail of audio breadcrumbs stretching back to 1992. Known for his uniquely proportioned Detroit/Chicago influenced club monsters, Curtin has seen his share of the world's dance floors, leaving happy party-goers in his wake. In addition to having releases/tracks on (to name a few) Palette, Sub Static, Tuning Spork, Nummer-Schallplatten, Toys for Boys, Leena Music (a Mobilee offshoot), Klang Elektronik, Peacefrog Records and more, he also runs the infamous Metamorphic Recordings.

Mazi (aka. Audiosoul project, Studio Nova, etc) is one of the few artists in electronic dance music history that have managed to please almost everybody and yet retain a unique, effective dance floor style that's actually original. There really isn't anybody in dance music, who has not heard of Mazi, so in the spirit of non-redundancy it will suffice to say that this producer, between all of his different aliases and collaborative projects has acclimated over a 170 total original production/remix releases. He literally is released on too many labels to list here, lest' this interview becomes six pages long. In addition to His brutal production schedule, Mazi runs the A&R for gourmet recordings and fresh meat recordings, in addition to a truly broad-based globe hopping DJ schedule.

Pan Pot consists of Tassilo Ippenberger and Thomas Benedix, one of the most technically savvy and popular minimal techno duos out of the Berlin underground. Known for their very unorthodox and detailed micro-sound, Pan Pot manages to capture the best elements of modern dance music in an effective and heady whirlwind. Ippenberger and Benedix are primarily associated with the masterful German label Mobilee, and have also enjoyed releases on True to Form, Einmaleins Musik, Eq/Stomp, Sender, Clink, Mo's Ferry, Cmyk Musik and more.

Noah Pred is one of Canada's bright and shining techno/idm exports. Renowned for his intellectually stimulating and bass heavy dance floor bombs, Noah has garnered the support of the international dance communities finest for over the last decade. Additionally, Noah is the lead man for both Thoughtless Music and Sentient Sound, two labels renown for consistent, high-quality music releases. Between his typical techy Noah Pred sound and his complex idm moniker Shen, Noah has been released on countless labels including Native State Records, Consigned Recordings, Immigrant, Intrinsic Design, Azure Records, Tongut, Robbaudio, Metapath Recordings and, of course, Sentient Sound and Thoughtless Music.

Axel Boman is a fresh up and comer to the electronic music production world. However, a quick listen to any of his releases will tell you that there is something special about his melodic and techy cuts. Axel has released three EP's on ourvision records, and has picked up plays from some of the biggest artists in the tech house/minimal circuit (including Magda and Adultnapper). I personally have bought every single one of his releases.

Inkwell consists of the unorthodox and fresh duo cinch (Cam Smith) and litewait (Ryan Trann). These gents hail from Vancouver, Canada, and met while studying audio engineering at the Art Institute of Vancouver-Burnaby. Cam and Ryan used their tactical savvy to generate an alchemy of homemade hardware software and sizzling clean minimal techno. They associate with the Danksoul crew and play out shows primarily in Western Canada.

Tim Xavier is one of the international techno scene's most interesting and high quality producers/DJs. Hailing from the United States, Tim now takes up residence in Berlin where he co-runs two prominent labels (Clink recordings & LTD400) and a high profile audio mastering/vinyl cutting room. Additionally Tim has released an absurd amount of records either solo, or grinding them out with Tony Rohr under their Afternoon Coffee Boys moniker. Labels which have fallen to Tim's infectious sound include Clink Recordings, Cocoon, Stockholm Ltd, M_nus, and LTD 400. Limited-400 is Tim's pet project where each release (vinyl-copy) is hand painted, re-boxed and shipped out for distribution. To top it off with 14 years of DJing, 8 years producing  and 6 years cutting & mastering Tim is an all-around techno savant of the highest caliber.
